The summer camp 2021 is an intensive training camp for understanding how technology can help e.g. mapping of waste, providing information what to do for your house hold waste and where to take it. We will also discuss about different projects using digitalization and participation sensing to fight against unnecessary waste. The camp will continue with actual waste processing and handling sites in St Peterburg and end with student group presentations based on learning materials provided in the educational sessions and site visits.

The winter camp is an intensive training course for a general waste management matters, both in Finland and Russia. The training camp gives the participants an overview to the current issues, general situation and solutions in use in waste management context. The training will also touch topics like sustainable thinking, circular economies principles and digitalization for new opportunities and tools to help to reduce the current acknowledged problems.
