Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design
University offers today a wide range of educational programmes for secondary, higher and additional vocational as well as for postgraduate education.
To help in choosing a speciality we created an effective system of preparatory training for the university entrants that includes specialized schools (junior faculties) and courses of basic training, where our teachers prepare the entrants for the future university studies, for passing the unified state exam and for participating in school olympiads which gives benefits for admission to the schools of higher education and secondary vocational training. Intensive courses in our schools can be taken while being in the 9th school grade.
Scientific activity of the University is an integral part of the specialists’ training. The unity of educational and scientific processes is guaranteed by the participation of both teaching staff and students in research work. The Scientific and Organizational Division is responsible for planning, organising and carrying out research activity.
Scientific and Educational Centres and Council of Young Researchers and Specialists were established at the University in order to effectively prepare scientific and teaching personnel, retain the youth in the fields of science, education and innovations, carry out research work and enhance the quality in education and carried out research work.
SPbSUITD annually runs a grant competition. The main aim of the competition is to support scientific research of students, postgraduate students, young scientists and candidates of science under 35 years of age who actively participate in research activities of the University.
